A walk-assistive apparatus and a method for controlling the walk-assistive apparatus

Provided are a walk-assistive apparatus and a method for controlling the walk-assistive apparatus, wherein the apparatus comprises an input unit which allows a user to intuitively adjust a performance of the walk-assistive apparatus. The walk-assistive apparatus comprises: the input unit which receives a command for adjusting a variable feature of the walk-assistive apparatus through at least one user interface; a processor which adjusts a variable parameter related to adjustment of the variable feature in response to the adjustment of the variable feature through the input unit; and an actuator which outputs assist power changed in response to the adjustment of the variable parameter to vary the variable feature. 사용자가 직관적으로 보행보조장치의 성능을 조절할 수 있도록 마련된 입력부를 포함하는 보행보조장치 및 그 제어방법이 제공된다. 보행보조장치는 적어도 하나의 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 보행보조장치의 가변특성을 조절하는 명령을 입력받는 입력부와 입력부를 통한 가변특성의 조절에 대응하여, 가변특성의 조절에 관련된 가변 파라미터를 조절하는 프로세서와 가변특성이 변하도록, 가변 파라미터의 조절에 대응하여 변화된 조력(assist power)을 출력하는 액츄에이터를 포함한다.
