The present invention relates to an air conditioner including a sterilizing part which sterilizes condensate water by radiating ultraviolet rays to the condensate water remaining in the air conditioner. According to the present invention, the air conditioner includes: a heat exchanger; a drain pan collecting condensate water produced from the heat exchanger; a water collection part formed on the drain pan as a dented groove and collecting the condensate water; a drain pump provided in the water collection part to discharge the condensate water to the outside; and a sterilizing part provided on one side of the water collection part. The sterilizing part includes: a base member of which one side comes in contact with a side wall of the drain pan and the other end is provided in a position towards the water collection part; a sterilizing module provided on the base member to radiate ultraviolet rays towards the water collection part; and a screen extended from the base member and limiting the radiation range of the ultraviolet rays. According to the present invention, as the radiation range of the ultraviolet rays radiated towards the condensate water remaining in the air conditioner is limited, the discoloration of the heat exchanger and a deterioration in the efficiency of the heat exchanger can be prevented. 본 발명은 공기조화기 내부에 잔류하는 응축수에 자외선을 조사하여 응축수를 살균하는 살균부를 포함하는 공기조화기에 관한 것이다. 발명에 따른 공기조화기는 열교환기와 상기 열교환기에서 생성된 응축수를 집수하는 드레인팬과 상기 드레인팬에 함몰된 홈으로 형성되며, 상기 응축수가 집수되는 집수부와 상기 집수부에 구비되어 상기 응축수를 외부로 배출하는 드레인펌프 및 상기 집수부의 일측에 구비되는 살균부를 포함하며, 상기 살균부는, 일면이 상기 드레인팬의 측벽에 접촉하고, 타면이 상기 집수부를 향하는 위치에 구비되는 베이스부재와 상기 베이스부재에 구비되어 상기 집수부를 향해 자외선을 조사하는 살균모듈 및 상기 베이스부재에서 연장되고, 상기 자외선의 조사 범위를 제한하는 차단막을 포함할 수 있다. 발명에 의하면, 공기조화기 내부에 잔류하는 응축수를 향해 조사되는 자외선의 조사 범위를 제한하여 열교환기의 변색 및 열교환기 효율의 저하를 방지할 수 있다.
