The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing children from being left alone in a bus, which is installed in a bus used by children for going to a kindergarten to compare the number of children who have got on the bus with the number of children who got off the bus when arriving at the destination to operate when the number of children who got off the bus is smaller than the number of children who got on the bus previously. The apparatus for preventing children from being left alone in a bus comprises: a sensor unit installed on an entrance of a bus to detect the entry/exit of passengers; a control unit which accesses the sensor unit to compare the number of people who got on the bus with the number of people who got off the bus at the destination, and outputs a control signal in accordance with the result of comparison; a display unit which receives the information of the number of passengers from the control unit and displays the number of people on the bus; and an alarm unit which operates by the control unit and, when the number of people who got on the bus does not equal the number of people who got off the bus, informs the fact to the driver.
