Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to technology capable of predicting steering performance by variously changing characteristics of a steering system using a virtual steering system model. According to the present invention, provided are a steering control method of an electric steering system and an apparatus thereof, wherein a virtual steering system model including a steering wheel, a reaction force mechanism, and a rack gear is set, a state equation having the momentum of the steering wheel, the reaction force mechanism, and the rack gear as state variables for the virtual steering system model is derived, target steering torque acting on the reaction force mechanism through numerical integration of the state equation is calculated, and the control amount of a steering motor is feedback-controlled to match steering torque with the target steering torque. 본 발명은 가상의 조향계모델에 의해 조향계 시스템의 특성을 다양하게 변경하여 조향성능의 예측이 가능한 기술에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는, 조향휠과 반력기구와 랙기어를 포함하는 가상의 조향계모델을 설정하고; 가상의 조향계모델에 대해 조향휠과 반력기구와 랙기어의 운동량을 상태변수로 갖는 상태방정식을 유도하며; 상태방정식의 수치 적분을 통해 반력기구에 작용하는 목표 조향토크를 산출하고; 조타토크를 상기 목표 조향토크와 일치시키도록 조향모터의 제어량을 피드백 제어하는 전동식 조향시스템의 조향 제어방법 및 장치가 소개된다.
