According to an embodiment of the present invention, a wheelchair control system comprises: a wheelchair driving device for sensing information required for thinking and judgment of a wheelchair user, determining whether wheelchair accident occurs, and transmitting an accident occurrence signal and accident-related sensing information to a user device when it is determined that the wheelchair accident occurs; a user device for transmitting the accident occurrence signal and the accident-related sensing information, which are received from the wheelchair driving device, to a server; a server for determining a type of an emergency situation based on the accident-related sensing information and providing notification information for a rescue request to at least one of a rescue team server and a guardian device in response to the determined type; a rescue team server for receiving the notification information for the rescue request from the server; and a guardian device. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 휠체어 제어 시스템은 휠체어 사용자의 사고 판단에 요구되는 정보를 센싱하고 휠체어의 사고 발생 여부를 판단하며, 사고 발생으로 판단되면 사고 발생 신호 및 사고 관련 센싱 정보를 사용자 기기에 전송하는 휠체어 구동 장치, 상기 휠체어 구동 장치로부터 수신한 사고 발생 신호 및 사고 관련 센싱 정보를 서버에 전송하는 사용자 기기, 상기 사용자 기기로부터 휠체어의 사고 발생 신호 및 사고 관련 센싱 정보가 수신되면, 상기 사고 관련 센싱 정보에 기반하여 위험 상황의 유형을 판단하고 판단된 유형에 대응하여 구조대 서버 및 보호자 기기 중 적어도 하나에 구조 요청을 위한 알림 정보를 제공하는 서버, 상기 서버로부터 구조 요청을 위한 알림 정보를 수신하는 구조대 서버; 및 보호자 기기를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
