Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides methods and systems for an electromagnetic pulse disconnect assembly. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electromagnetic disconnect assembly includes: an electromagnetic coil assembly including an electromagnetic coil; an armature cam including an annular ring and a plurality of bidirectional cam ramps extended in an axial direction from the annular ring, wherein the annular ring is adapted to have surface-sharing contact with the electromagnetic coil assembly when energy is supplied to the electromagnetic coil and to be separated from the electromagnetic coil assembly when energy is not supplied to the electromagnetic coil; and a cam follower. A plurality of radially extended guides are arranged around the circumference of the cam follower and are separated from one another via a plurality of elongation apertures. Each of the plurality of elongated apertures is adapted to accommodate one among the plurality of bidirectional ramps of the armature cam.
