Zusammenfassung:	According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for manufacturing a secondary battery comprises the steps of: storing an electrode assembly in space between an upper case and a lower case; and fusing the edges of the upper case and the lower case with heat. Each of the edges of the upper case and the lower case includes a substrate layer, a metal layer, and a sealing layer sequentially stacked. Before the step of fusion with heat, the method further includes the step of forming a plurality of grooves on one surface of the sealing layer of at least one of the upper case and the lower case. 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 이차 전지의 제조 방법은 상부 케이스와 하부 케이스 사이의 공간에 전극 조립체를 수납하는 단계, 상기 상부 케이스 및 상기 하부 케이스의 테두리부를 상호 열융착하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 상부 케이스 및 상기 하부 케이스의 테두리부 각각은 순차적으로 적층된 기재층, 금속층 및 실링층을 포함하며, 상기 열융착하는 단계 이전에, 상기 상부 케이스 및 상기 하부 케이스 중 적어도 하나의 실링층의 일면에 복수의 홈부을 형성하는 단계를 더 포함한다.
