LIQUID CRYSTAL TRANSPARENT DISPLAY

The present invention relates to a transparent display comprising: a lower transparent substrate; a lower electrode positioned on the lower transparent substrate; a lower alignment layer positioned on the lower electrode; a liquid crystal layer positioned on the lower alignment layer; an upper alignment layer positioned on the liquid crystal layer; an upper electrode positioned on the upper alignment layer; an upper transparent substrate positioned on the upper electrode; and a light source positioned on at least one side surface of the left, right, top and bottom side surfaces of the transparent substrates. The liquid crystal layer does not contain a polymer material, and the refractive index of liquid crystals in the liquid crystal layer is different for each pixel or sub pixel. The present invention is capable of improving the brightness of the transparent display, lower the driving voltage, and reduce the thickness. 본 발명은 하부 투명 기판; 상기 하부 투명 기판 상에 위치하는 하부 전극; 상기 하부 전극 상에 위치하는 하부 배향막; 상기 하부 배향막 상에 위치하는 액정층; 상기 액정층 상에 위치하는 상부 배향막; 상기 상부 배향막 상에 위치하는 상부 전극; 상기 상부 전극 상에 위치하는 상부 투명 기판; 상기 투명 기판들의 좌, 우, 상, 하 측면 중 적어도 하나의 측면에 위치하는 광원;을 포함하고, 상기 액정층은 고분자 물질을 포함하지 않고, 액정층 내의 액정들의 굴절률이 하나의 화소 또는 서브 픽셀 별로 서로 다른 것;을 특징으로 하는 투명 디스플레이를 제공하여, 투명 디스플레이의 휘도를 향상시키고 구동전압을 낮추며 두께를 감소시킬 수 있다.
