The present invention relates to an electronic device for improving product reliability by blocking a route causing the deformation of a display module and a display device applied thereto. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the electronic device comprises a display device and a case covering the display device. The display device includes a display module and a cover panel. The display module displays an image, and includes a display panel where a folding area folded around a virtual folding axis on a plane and a plurality of non-folding areas adjacent to both sides of the folding area are defined, and a circuit board electrically connected to the display panel. The cover panel is disposed on a rear surface of the display module and includes a plurality of layers.
