Zusammenfassung:	Provided are a system for monitoring an overhead power transmission line which collects line information of Internet of Things standard through low-power-based long-range wireless communication to monitor and diagnose an overhead power transmission line with low power, and a method thereof. The provided system for monitoring an overhead power transmission line comprises: a line information collecting device collecting line information; a gateway collecting the line information from a line information collecting device through a low-power wide area communication network; a communication control server collecting line information from one of the line information collecting device and the gateway, and converting the line information into overhead line information of the Internet of Things common standard; an Internet of Things common platform collecting and storing the overhead line information from the communication control server; and a control system querying and subscribing the overhead line information from the Internet of Things common platform. 선로 정보를 저전력기반 장거리 무선 통신을 통해 사물인터넷 표준의 선로 정보를 수집하여 저전력으로 가공 송전 선로를 감시 및 진단하도록 한 가공 송전 선로 감시 시스템 및 방법을 제시한다. 제시된 가공 송전 선로 감시 시스템은 선로 정보를 수집하는 선로 정보 수집 장치, 저전력 광역 통신망을 통해 선로 정보 수집 장치로부터 선로 정보를 수집하는 게이트웨이, 선로 정보 수집 장치 및 게이트웨이 중 하나로부터 선로 정보를 수집하고, 선로 정보를 사물인터넷 공통 규격의 가공 선로 정보로 변환하는 통신 제어 서버, 통신 제어 서버로부터 가공 선로 정보를 수집하여 저장하는 사물인터넷 공통 플랫폼 및 사물인터넷 공통 플랫폼으로부터 가공 선로 정보를 조회 및 구독하는 관제 시스템을 포함한다.
