Zusammenfassung:	A method for providing a smart home service and an apparatus thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for providing a smart home service comprises the steps of: receiving advanced metering infrastructure data from a home energy measuring device; generating status management information for home appliances based on the received AMI data; generating event occurrence information by determining whether an event has occurred by comparing event setting information previously set by a user with status management information; and analyzing a lifestyle of the user based on the event occurrence information and providing information on the analysis to the user. 스마트 홈 서비스 제공방법 및 장치를 개시한다. 본 실시예에 의하면, 홈에너지 측정장치로부터 AMI 데이터를 수신하고, 수신한 AMI 데이터를 기반으로 홈 가전기기의 상태관리 정보를 생성하며, 사용자에 의해 기 설정된 이벤트 설정정보와 상태관리 정보를 비교하여 이벤트 발생 여부를 판단하여 이벤트 발생정보를 생성하고, 이벤트 발생정보를 기반으로 사용자의 라이프 스타일을 분석하여 사용자에게 분석정보를 제공한다.
