A quality of a photographed image used in an inspection in case of processing in a substrate processing apparatus processing a substrate to be processed is improved. The substrate processing apparatus, which processes the substrate to be processed, comprises: a substrate holding part holding the substrate to be processed to rotate the same; a photographing part including a surface of the substrate to be processed, which is held on the rotation holding part, on the photographed area; a light source irradiating light to the photographed area of the photographing part; an inspection part performing the inspection based on a photographed result by the photographing part; and a selection part selecting the photographed result used in the inspection based on a direction of the substrate to be processed when the photographed result is obtained.
