Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a cooling roll and a strip casting method using the same, which, for example, when casting a strip of martensitic stainless steel, reduces the temperature of an edge unit of a cast piece before rolling to reduce edge cracking during rolling. The cooling roll includes: a roll main body having both ends connected to rotary shafts, having a refrigerant flow path formed radially therein, and receiving a refrigerant through at least the rotary shaft on one side; and a drum which surrounds the roll main body, wherein a plurality of through holes are formed only at portions adjacent to the rotary shafts on both sides. 본 발명은 예를 들어 마르텐사이트계 스테인리스강 재질의 스트립을 주조할 때 압연 전 주물편의 에지부의 온도를 떨어뜨려 압연시 에지 크랙을 저감할 수 있게 하는 냉각롤 및 이를 사용한 스트립 주조방법에 관한 것으로, 냉각롤은, 양단부가 회전축에 연결되고, 내부에 방사상으로 냉매 유로가 형성되어 있으며, 적어도 일측 회전축을 통해 냉매를 공급받는 롤본체; 및 상기 롤본체를 둘러싸고, 복수의 관통홀이 양측 회전축에 인접한 부분에만 형성된 드럼을 포함한다.
