Air-conditioner and Method thereof

The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a control method thereof, which can sense a water level of a water tank in which humidification water is stored and a steam tank in which the water supplied from the water tank is changed to generate humidified air, and then determine a waterless state or an error of a sensor for detecting the water level to control operation in accordance with a humidification mode. Accordingly, the water level of the steam tank can be predicted through the water level of the water tank, and the error of the sensor can be sensed through water level comparison. Therefore, humidification can be prevented from being performed without water to prevent malfunction of a humidification module, and the humidified air can be stably provided. 본 발명은 공기조화기 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 가습된 공기를 토출하는 가습모드가 설정되면, 가습용 물이 수용되는 물통과 상기 물통으로 부터 급수되는 물을 변화하여 가습된 공기가 생성되는 스팀통의 수위를 감지하여 물없음 또는 수위감지를 위한 센서의 이상을 판단하여 가습모드에 따른 동작을 제어하도록 구성되어, 물통의 수위를 통해 스팀통의 수위를 예측하고, 수위 비교를 통해 센서의 이상을 감지함으로써, 물없이 가습이 수행되지 않도록 하여 가습모듈의 고장을 방지하고, 안정적으로 가습된 공기를 제공한다.
