The method for registering a personal cloud device of an electronic device performs a pairing operation with the personal cloud device when a preset application is executed, obtains and transmits information on an access point to the personal cloud device in order to connect the personal cloud device to a network, and registers the personal cloud device with a registration server when the personal cloud device is connected to the network through the access point.
