The positive electrode material can secure good cycle characteristics, excellent speed and favorable energy density. 본 발명은 마그네슘 이온 전지의 양극재와 이 양극재를 포함하는 마그네슘 이온 전지에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 마그네슘 이온 전지의 양극재는, 활물질로 폴리비올로겐(poly viologen) 화합물을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
