Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating obesity or metabolic diseases containing an Elaeagnus umbellate extract as an active component. More specifically, the Elaeagnus umbellate extract of the present invention exhibits an effect of inhibiting pancreatic lipase activity and increasing the increase in blood triglycerides after meals, and thus can be usefully used for preventing, alleviating or treating metabolic diseases such as obesity and complications thereof. 본 발명은 토종보리수(Thunb.) 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 비만 또는 대사성 질환의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로, 본 발명의 토종보리수 추출물은 췌장 라이페이스 활성을 저해하고, 식후 혈중 중성지방 증가를 억제하는 효과를 나타냄으로써, 비만 등 대사성 질환과 이의 합병증의 예방, 개선 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
