Disclosed an electronic device which comprises: a housing; a first number of light emitting diodes; a second number of photodetectors; and a control circuit operatively connected with the LEDs and the photodetectors. The control circuit, when activated, controls a third number of LEDs to emit light sequentially or simultaneously. The third number is one or two. A fourth number of photodetectors sense the light from the third number of LEDs. The fourth number is one of integers of two or greater and the second number or less.
