System for charging battery

The present invention relates to a battery charging system which comprises: an integrated power relay assembly (PRA) to which a slow charging port circuit, a fast charging port circuit and a battery pack circuit are connected, and a relay is provided on a battery pack circuit side to selectively connect the slow charging port circuit or the fast charging port circuit with the battery pack circuit; and a battery management system (BMS) for sensing the port connection of the slow charging port or the fast charging port and controlling the relay to selectively connect the slow charging port or the fast charging port with the battery pack circuit, thereby the PRA for charging the battery is reduced and the stability during rapid charging is improved. 본 발명은 배터리 충전시스템을 개시한다. 본 발명에 따르는 배터리 충전시스템은 완속충전포트 회로, 급속충전포트 회로 및 배터리팩 회로가 연결되고, 배터리팩 회로측에 릴레이가 구비되어 완속충전포트 회로 또는 급속충전포트 회로를 선택적으로 배터리팩 회로와 연결될 수 있도록 하는 통합PRA(Power Relay Assembly); 및 완속충전포트 또는 급속충전포트의 포트 연결을 감지하여 상기 릴레이를 제어함으로써 완속충전포트 또는 급속충전포트가 배터리팩 회로와 선택적으로 연결될 수 있도록 하는 BMS(Battery Mnagement System);를 포함하는데, 이에 의할 때, 배터리를 충전하기 위한 PRA를 축소시키고, 급속충전시의 안정도를 향상시킬 수 있게 된다.
