Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery. The lithium secondary battery of the present invention employs an electrolyte containing a compound of chemical formula 1, and a cathode activate material including at least one metal of which concentrations are different on a center part and a surface part of a lithium metal oxide particle, and has improved lifespan characteristics and high temperature storage characteristics. In chemical formula 1, R_1 is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl, R_2 to R_4 are each independently hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl or -OPF_2, a, b and c are each independently an integer from 0 to 4, d is an integer of 1 to 3, and when a, b, and c are 2 or more, each of R_2 to R_4 may be the same or different from each other.
