Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a method of preparing dimer acids which can be commercially used for various purposes such as an adhesive, coating, printing ink, a corrosion inhibitor, and lubricant. The method of preparing dimer acids comprises the steps of: performing an esterification reaction by making fatty acids containing unsaturated fatty acids react with an alcohol under high temperature and high pressure so as to obtain dimer acid ester and fatty acid ester; distilling the dimer acid ester and the fatty acid ester to separate (recover) the fatty acid ester; performing thin-film distillation on the residue except for the separated fatty acid ester to separate (recover) the dimer acid ester; and hydrolyzing the separated dimer acid ester to obtain dimer acids. 상업적으로 접착제(Adhesive), 코팅(Coating), 프린트 잉크(Printing ink), 부식 방지제(Corrosion inhibitor), 및 윤활유(Lubricant) 등 다양한 용도로 사용되는 다이머산의 제조방법이 개시된다. 상기 불포화지방산을 포함하는 지방산을 고온, 고압에서 알코올과 반응시켜 에스테르화 반응을 수행하여, 다이머산에스테르와 지방산에스테르를 얻는 단계; 상기 다이머산에스테르와 지방산에스테르를 증류하여 지방산에스테르를 분리(회수)하는 단계; 상기 분리한 지방산에스테르를 제외한 잔여물을 박막 증류하여 다이머산에스테르를 분리(회수)하는 단계; 및 상기 분리한 다이머산에스테르를 가수분해하여 다이머산을 얻는 단계를 포함하는 다이머산의 제조방법을 포함한다.
