PEN INPUT DEVICE INCLUDING CAPACITOR CIRCUIT

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a pen input device including a variable capacitor circuit. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device (100) comprises: a housing (110) including an opening (121) and an inner space connected with the opening (121); a first battery (350) inside the housing (110); and a pen input device (120) configured to be inserted into the inner space through the opening (121). The pen input device (120) includes a coil (423), a variable capacitor circuit (540), and a control circuit. The control circuit may be set to apply a first signal to the coil when the pen input device is in the inner space; detect a second signal output from the coil as a result of applying the first signal; and modify the variable capacitor circuit based at least in part on the second signal.
