Zusammenfassung:	A scroll type compressor comprises a hosing and a compression mechanism accommodated in the housing. The housing comprises a first housing member having an annular partition wall and a second housing member. The partition wall has a fastened portion that is thicker than other portions in a circumferential direction. The compression mechanism has a fixed scroll member and an orbiting scroll member. The fixed scroll member has a fixed spiral wall extending in a spiral shape and an outer circumferential wall surrounding the fixed spiral wall. The outer circumferential wall has a recess forming portion having a recess recessed inward in a radial direction in a part opposed to the fastened portion in the radial direction. 스크롤형 압축기는, 하우징과, 하우징에 수용된 압축 기구를 구비한다. 하우징은, 환 형상의 격벽을 갖는 제1 하우징 부재와, 제2 하우징 부재를 갖는다. 격벽은, 둘레 방향의 다른 부분보다 두꺼운 체결부를 갖는다. 압축 기구는, 고정 스크롤 부재와 선회 스크롤 부재를 갖는다. 고정 스크롤 부재는, 소용돌이 형상으로 연장되는 고정 소용돌이벽과, 고정 소용돌이벽을 둘러싸는 외주벽을 갖는다. 외주벽은, 체결부와 지름 방향으로 대향하는 부분에, 지름 방향 내측으로 패인 오목부를 갖는 오목부 형성 부분을 구비한다.
