Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a restorative herb medicine with increased appealability and antidiabetic activity, which is prepared by adding Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata; and a use of the restorative herb medicine. More specifically, the present invention relates to a restorative herb medicine of a Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata having improved appealability and strong alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase inhibiting activities by adding Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata to an existing restorative herb medicine comprising Rehmannia glutinosa var. purpurea, Poria cocos, ginseng and honey as main ingredients; and a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for preventing or treating/ameliorating diabetes comprising the restorative herb medicine of a Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata. According to the present invention, as being proved through an embodiment of the present specification, a restorative herb medicine composition with increased appealability and excellent antidiabetic activity, which is prepared by adding Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata: has excellent appealability by adding Silk of Zea mays Linne and Cucurbita moschata; exhibits strong antidiabetic activity by inhibiting alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase; does not show hemolytic activity to human red blood cells at all; has excellent thermal stability; and does not exhibit loss in alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase inhibiting activities even at an acidic condition of pH 2 and within blood plasma at the same time. Therefore, the restorative herb medicine composition can be easily processed into various forms such as liquid, cream, powder, pill, tablet, and the like, thereby being very useful in pharmaceutical industry and food industry. 본 발명은 옥미수(Silk ofLinne) 및 호박()을 가미하여 제조되는 관능성 및 항당뇨 활성이 증대된 경옥고 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는, 기존 생지황, 백복령, 인삼 및 벌꿀을 주성분으로 하는 경옥고에 옥미수와 호박을 가미하여 관능성이 개선되고, 알파-아밀라제 및 알파-글루코시다제 저해 활성이 강력한 옥미수 및 호박 가미 경옥고와 이를 포함하는 당뇨병의 예방 또는 치료/개선용 약학적 조성물 및 건강 기능 식품에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 관능성이 증대되면서 항당뇨 활성이 우수한 옥미수와 호박이 가미된 경옥고 조성물은, 본 명세서의 실시예를 통해 증명된 바와 같이, 옥미수 및 호박이 가미되어 관능성이 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 알파-아밀라제 및 알파-글루코시다제 저해에 의한 강력한 항당뇨 활성을 나타냄과 동시에, 인간 적혈구에 대한 용혈 활성을 전혀 나타내지 않고, 열 안정성이 우수하고, pH 2의 산성 조건 및 혈장 내에서도 알파-아밀라제 및 알파-글루코시다제 저해활성의 손실이 나타나지 않으므로, 액상, 크림, 분말, 환, 정 등의 다양한 형태로 손쉽게 가공될 수 있어 제약 산업 및 식품 산업상 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
