According to an embodiment of the present invention, an autonomous vehicle comprises: a camera acquiring at least two image frames with respect to an external environment of the autonomous vehicle; and a processor calculating translation motion and rotation motion of the autonomous vehicle based on the acquired two image frames. 본 발명은 자율주행 차량 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 자율주행 차량은 상기 자율주행 차량의 외부 환경에 대한 적어도 두 개의 영상 프레임을 획득하는 카메라 및 상기 획득된 적어도 두 개의 영상 프레임에 기초하여 상기 자율주행 차량의 병진(translation) 모션 및 회전(rotation) 모션을 산출하는 프로세서를 포함한다.
