HS3 can be used in pharmaceutical compositions, nutraceuticals or feed compositions that require lutein. 본 발명은 루테인 생산성이 높은 신규 미세조류에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 클로렐라속 HS3(HS3)는 바이오매스 생성이 높고, 루테인 함량이 높으므로, 루테인을 생산할 수 있는 생물자원으로 이용될 수 있으며, 클로렐라속 HS3 유래의 원료를 루테인을 필요로 하는 약학적 조성물, 건강기능식품 또는 사료 조성물에 사용할 수 있다.
