Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a method for optimally controlling engine power when an engine operates for heating in a charge depleting (CD) mode of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). According to the present invention, in a method for controlling engine power during CD mode heating of a PHEV, engine power is controlled according to an amount of heat of an engine required for heating determined using a level of an air-conditioning blower at a point in time at which an operation of the engine starts, an outdoor air temperature, and a coolant temperature, if a full automatic temperature controller (FATC) operates the engine for heating when the vehicle is driven in a CD mode. 본 발명은 PHEV 차량의 CD 모드에서 난방을 위한 엔진 작동시 엔진 파워를 최적 제어하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 PHEV 차량의 CD 모드 난방시 엔진 파워 제어 방법은 차량이 CD 모드로 주행시 FATC가 난방을 위해 엔진을 작동시키면, 엔진 작동 시작 시점의 공조 블로워 단수, 외기온 및 냉각수온을 이용하여 판단되는 난방에 필요한 엔진 열량에 따라 엔진 파워를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
