Zusammenfassung:Disclosed are an apparatus and method for detecting a frequency domain preamble of an OFDM communication system. According to the present invention, the method for detecting a frequency domain preamble of an OFDM communication system comprises the steps of: obtaining an initial value by performing fast Fourier transform (FFT) in units of blocks; performing FFT in units of samples using the initial value; determining a power ratio between a valid subcarrier with a signal and an invalid subcarrier with no signal by using a result of the FFT performed in units of samples; and determining a threshold of the power ratio according to a power probability distribution map to detect a preamble in a frequency domain.
