Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an electrode wire for electric discharge processing used in a manufacturing process for forming an article using an electric discharge and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein provided is the electrode wire for electric discharge processing comprising: a metal core wire having an outer surface; and a crystalline zinc oxide coating layer covering the outer surface of the metal core wire and having a cubic crystal structure and a hexagonal crystal structure. According to the present invention, the electrode wire for electric discharge processing covers the metal core wire having an outer surface and an outer surface of the metal core wire, and a deformation frequency of the electrode wire and a solid material removal efficiency are improved during a wire cut EDM process as the crystalline zinc oxide coating layer composed of the cubic crystal structure and the hexagonal crystal structure are included. 본 발명은 전기 방전을 사용하여 물품을 성형하는 제조 공정에 사용되는 전기 방전 가공을 위한 전극 선 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 외부 표면을 갖는 금속 심선; 및 상기 금속 심선의 외부 표면을 덮고, 입방 결정구조와 육방 결정 구조로 이루어지는 결정성 산화아연 코팅층; 을 포함하여 이루어지는 전기 방전 가공을 위한 전극 선이 제공된다. 본 발명에 따른 전기 방전 가공을 위한 전극 선은 외부 표면을 갖는 금속 심선 및 금속 심선의 외부 표면을 덮고, 입방 결정구조와 육방 결정 구조로 이루어지는 결정성 산화아연 코팅층을 포함하므로 와이어 컷 EDM 공정 중에 전극 선의 변형 빈도 및 고형물 제거 효율이 향상된다.
