The present invention relates to an urban railway safety operation system using an autonomous vehicle. The urban railway safety operation system is provided with the autonomous vehicle for traveling autonomously along a railway while maintaining a constant interval with a train or a work motor car which are traveling in one arrangement by interlocking with the train or the work motor car. The autonomous vehicle is provided with a wireless interval maintaining means to maintain a predetermined interval with an electric motor while being installed for autonomous traveling by a driving means. In addition, the autonomous vehicle is provided with a wireless module, which transmits information such as a collision or a field situation to the train or a server, to inform the train or the server of event information due to occurrence of a collision or an abnormal situation during the autonomously traveling at a predetermined interval in front of the train. 본 발명은 한 편성으로 운행하는 전동차 또는 작업용 모터카와 연동하여 전동차 또는 모터카와 일정한 간격을 유지한 상태로 레일을 따라 자율주행 하는 운행체가 설치되고, 상기 운행체는 구동수단에 의해 자율주행토록 설치되면서 전동차와 일정간격을 유지토록 무선 간격유지수단이 구비되며, 상기 운행체에는 충돌이나 현장상황등의 정보를 전동차 또는 서버에 전달하는 무선모듈이 구비되는 구성으로 전동차의 전방에서 일정간격으로 자율주행하면서 충돌이나 이상 상황의 발생에 의한 이벤트 정보를 전동차나 서버에 알리도록 하는 자율운행체를 이용한 도시철도 안전운행 시스템에 관한 것이다.
