VR VR METHOD FOR PROVIDING VIRTUAL REALITY CONTENTS SERVER AND DEVICE

The present invention relates to a method for providing virtual reality (VR) content performed in a streaming server for streaming VR content. The method comprises the following steps: storing information on a region of interest of VR content; receiving selection information in either a first viewing mode or a second viewing mode for viewing the VR content from a user terminal; and providing the VR content based on the selected first viewing mode or the second viewing mode. The first viewing mode can provide the VR content based on a real-time viewing region received from the user terminal, and the second viewing mode can provide the VR content based on an hourly viewing region of interest included in the information on the region of interest of the content. VR(Virtual Reality) 콘텐츠를 스트리밍하는 스트리밍 서버에서 수행되는 VR 콘텐츠 제공 방법은 VR 콘텐츠의 관심 영역 정보를 저장하는 단계, 사용자 단말로부터 VR 콘텐츠의 시청을 위한 제 1 시청 모드 또는 제 2 시청 모드 중 하나의 선택 정보를 수신하는 단계 및 선택된 제 1 시청 모드 또는 제 2 시청 모드에 기초하여 VR 콘텐츠를 제공하는 단계를 포함하고, 제 1 시청 모드는 사용자 단말로부터 수신된 실시간 시청 영역에 기초하여 VR 콘텐츠가제공되하는 것이고, 제 2 시청 모드는 콘텐츠의 관심 영역 정보에 포함된 시간별 관심 시청 영역에 기초하여 VR 콘텐츠가 제공될 수 있다.
