Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a method and apparatus for controlling operation state of IoT appliance through a widget of a terminal, and providing the operation state of the IoT appliance to a user. A method for displaying an operation state of an Internet of things (IoT) appliance comprises the steps of: exposing a widget for controlling an operation state of at least one IoT appliance, by a terminal; transmitting a control input for the IoT appliance received from a user through the widget to a server, by the terminal; and outputting a dynamic image corresponding to the signal received from the signal.
