Zusammenfassung: | Through the present invention, an ion exchange membrane comprising an arylene-based hydrocarbon polymer as a main chain can be provided, wherein the main chain comprises at least one side chain, and at least one of side chains comprises a sulfonated aliphatic compound. A method for manufacturing the ion exchange membrane also can be provided. Further, the present invention can provide an ion exchange membrane which is inexpensive and does not easily deteriorate by vanadium ions and exhibits excellent properties with high proton conductivity, and a vanadium battery using the ion exchange membrane.
