Method for controlling multi-type air conditioner

A multi-type air conditioner according to the present invention includes: a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant; an accumulator configured to supply a gaseous refrigerant to the compressor; an outdoor heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the refrigerant and exterior air; a four-way valve connected to the compressor, an indoor unit, the outdoor heat exchanger, and the accumulator through a first passage, a second passage, a third passage, and a fourth passage and configured to circulate the refrigerant; a liquid pipeline connecting the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor unit; a gas pipeline connecting the four-way valve and the indoor unit; and a linear bypass unit configured to receive the refrigerant supplied to the outdoor heat exchanger, expand the received refrigerant, and supply the expanded refrigerant to the liquid pipeline during a low-load cooling operation. The multi-type air conditioner according to the present invention may minimize evaporation of the refrigerant in the indoor heat exchanger and accordingly, may prevent freezing of the indoor heat exchanger and minimize an off of the compressor as the refrigerant flowing to the outdoor heat exchanger is supplied to the indoor unit after being condensed and expanded through the linear bypass unit during a low load cooling operation. 본 발명에 따른 멀티형 공기조화기는 냉매를 압축하는 압축기; 상기 압축기에 기체 냉매를 제공하는 어큐뮬레이터; 냉매를 실외공기와 열교환시키는 실외열교환기; 상기 압축기, 실내기, 실외열교환기 및 어큐뮬레이터와 제 1 유로, 제 2 유로, 제 3 유로 및 제 4 유로를 통해 연결되어 냉매를 순환시키는 사방밸브; 상기 실외열교환기 및 실내기를 연결하는 액체배관; 상기 사방밸브 및 실내기를 연결하는 기체배관; 저부하 냉방 운전 시 상기 실외열교환기에 공급되던 냉매를 공급받고, 공급받은 냉매를 팽창시켜 상기 액체배관에 공급하는 리니어바이패스유닛;을 포함한다. 본 발명에 따른 멀티형 공기조화기는 저부하 냉방운전 시, 실외열교환기로 유동되는 냉매를 리니어바이패스유닛을 통해 응축 및 팽창시킨 후, 실내기에 제공하기 때문에, 실내열교환기에서의 증발을 최소화할 수 있고, 이를 통해 실내열교환기의 결빙 방지 및 압축기의 오프를 최소화할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
