The secondary battery comprises a pouch for accommodating an electrode assembly and an electrolyte, wherein the pouch has a structure in which a first resin layer, a metal layer, and a second resin layer are sequentially laminated, and a passivation layer for preventing corrosion is formed on a surface of the metal layer in close contact with the first and second resin layers. 본 발명은 이차전지에 관한 것으로서, 전극조립체와 전해액을 수용하는 파우치를 포함하며, 상기 파우치는 제1 수지층, 금속층 및 제2 수지층이 순차적으로 적층되는 구조를 가지고, 상기 제1 및 제2 수지층이 밀착되는 상기 금속층의 표면에는 부식을 방지하기 위한 패시베이션(passivation)층을 형성한다.
