METHOD FOR WIRELESS CONNECTION AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF

A method for enhancing security of wireless peer-to-peer (P2P) communication and an electronic device thereof are provided. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the electronic device comprises: a housing; a universal serial bus (USB) connector connected to or integrated with the housing; a wireless communication circuit positioned in the housing; a processor positioned in the housing, and electrically connected to the USB connector and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory positioned in the housing, and electrically connected to the processor. When the memory is executed, the memory stores instruction to enable the processor to determine whether the USB connector is electrically connected to a first external electronic device having an identifier, to receive the identifier through the USB connector from the first external electronic device, to generate a wireless signal packet including the identifier, to receive a probe request through the wireless communication circuit from a second external electronic device, to transmit a wireless signal packet to the second external electronic device through the wireless communication circuit, and to set a wireless communication channel with the second external electronic device after transmitting the wireless signal packet.
