The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for efficiently treating a substrate. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a substrate support unit supporting a substrate to be treated and provided with an upper surface supporting the substrate smaller than an area of the substrate; a coating unit supplying a treatment liquid for forming a thin film on the substrate; a treatment container housing the substrate support unit therein; and a temperature control unit supplying a heating fluid to a bottom surface of the substrate exposed outward from the upper surface of the substrate support unit and having a heating nozzle provided to be movable to change a spaced distance in a radial direction with respect to the central axis in a vertical direction of the substrate support unit. 본 발명은 기판 처리 장치 및 기판 처리 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 기판 처리 장치는 처리될 기판을 지지하고, 상기 기판을 지지하는 상면이 상기 기판의 면적보다 작게 제공되는 기판 지지 유닛; 상기 기판에 박막 형성을 위한 처리액을 공급하는 도포 유닛; 내측에 상기 기판 지지 유닛을 수용하는 처리 용기; 및 상기 처리액에 의해 상기 기판에 형성되는 상기 박막의 두께를 조절하기 위해, 상기 기판 지지 유닛의 상기 상면에서 외측으로 노출된 상기 기판의 저면으로 가열 유체를 공급하고, 상기 기판 지지 유닛의 상하 방향 중심 축에 대해 반경 방향으로 이격된 거리가 변경되도록 이동 가능하게 제공되는 가열 노즐을 갖는 온도 조절 유닛을 포함한다.
