A LIQUID DETECTING SENSOR GENERATING AN OUTPUT SIGNAL BASED ON EXISTENCE OF LIQUID AND MALFUNCTION OF THE LIQUID DETECTING SENSOR AND A SENSOR DIAGNOSING APPARATUS CONNECTED TO THE LIQUID DETECTING SENSOR

According to an embodiment, a liquid detecting sensor can detect existence of a liquid between electrodes based on whether a detection signal passes between the electrodes which are different from each other. The liquid detecting sensor can output a detection result of existence of a liquid by controlling a level of an output signal. Moreover, the liquid detecting sensor controls the level of the output signal in accordance of generation of the detection signal to output generation of the detection signal and malfunction of the liquid detecting sensor.
