Apparatus and method for detecting misarrangement of cable trays

Disclosed are an apparatus for detecting an arrangement error of a cable tray and a method thereof. The apparatus for detecting an arrangement error of a cable tray generates an abstraction model that includes the coordinate values of tray components on which the cable is located from cable tray design information created by CAD, identifies adjacent tray components based on the abstraction model, and then detects whether an interval or a height between the abstraction models of the adjacent tray components violates a regulation by referring to a regulation database storing regulations for an interval and a height between each tray component, coaming, and equipment.
