Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a novel transition metal compound based on a cyclopenta[a]naphthalene group; a transition metal catalyst composition for producing an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and one or more α-olefins, comprising the novel transition metal compound and having a high catalytic activity; and a method of producing the ethylene homopolymer or the copolymer of ethylene and the α-olefins using the transition metal catalyst composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to a transition metal compound in which Group 4 transition metals on the periodic table as central metals are connected by the cyclopenta[a]naphthalene group having a rigid planar structure and including electrons abundantly and widely delocalized therein and a phenoxy group substituted with an aryl group or a heteroaryl group into which a substituent helping in solubility and performance improvement can be easily introduced, and have a structure that the cyclopenta[a]naphthalene group and the phenoxy group are connected by a silyl group. According to the present invention, a metallocene compound and a catalyst composition comprising the same are good in copolymerization reactivity with other olefins and can produce a high molecular weight polymer at high yield while maintaining high catalytic activities even at high temperatures by having excellent thermal stability of a catalyst. 본 발명은 시클로펜타[]나프탈렌(Cyclopenta[]naphthalene)기에 기초한 신규 전이금속 화합물, 이를 포함하는 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 하나 이상의 α-올레핀의 공중합체 제조용으로 높은 촉매활성을 가진 전이금속 촉매 조성물 및 이를 이용한 에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 에틸렌과 α-올레핀의 공중합체의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 메탈로센 화합물 및 이를 포함하는 촉매 조성물은 촉매의 열적 안정성이 뛰어나 고온에서도 높은 촉매활성을 유지하면서 다른 올레핀류와의 공중합 반응성이 좋고 고분자량의 중합체를 높은 수율로 제조할 수 있다.
