Zusammenfassung: | According to an aspect of the present invention, a cathode for a fuel cell comprises: a carbon carrier; a platinum catalyst supported on the carbon carrier; and ionomer for surrounding the carbon carrier and the platinum catalyst. The present invention further comprises a structure from which the ionomer on a surface of the platinum catalyst is removed. The cathode for a fuel cell according to the present invention has a structure from which an ionomer film acting as an oxygen transfer resistance is removed by covering the surface of the platinum catalyst, thereby improving the performance of a fuel cell due to reduction in a material transfer resistance (oxygen diffusion resistance). Also, oxygen transfer is smoothly performed even in a cathode in which platinum usage is lowered due to the improvement of platinum utilization, such that the amount of platinum participating in a catalyst reaction is increased compared to an existing cathode.
본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 연료전지용 캐소드는, 탄소 담지체; 상기 탄소 담지체에 담지된 백금 촉매; 및 상기 탄소 담지체 및 상기 백금 촉매를 둘러싸고 있는 이오노머 를 포함하되, 상기 백금 촉매 표면의 이오노머가 제거된 구조를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따른 연료전지용 캐소드는, 백금 촉매 표면을 덮고 있어 산소 전달 저항으로 작용하던 이오노머 필름을 제거한 구조를 가지기 때문에 물질 전달 저항(산소 확산 저항) 감소로 인해 연료전지의 성능이 향상 될 수 있다. 또한, 백금 이용률 향상으로 인해 백금 사용량을 낮춘 캐소드에서도 산소 전달이 원활하게 이루어지므로, 기존 캐소드보다 촉매 반응에 참여하는 백금의 양을 증가시키는 효과가 있다. |
