Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a magnetic resonance imaging system having a wide range of image contrast in a wide range of resonance frequencies (intensity of a main magnetic field) using one magnetic resonance (MR) magnet, and a method thereof. A magnetic resonance imaging system which includes a bore tube in which a patient is located and can obtain a magnetic resonance image, includes a main magnet (110) for generating a main magnetic field in an axial direction in the bore tube; and a gradient coil part (120) which is movable back and forth in the axial direction of the bore tube and generates a gradient magnetic field.
