More particularly, the present invention provides a recombinant microorganism for producing an omega-hydroxy fatty acid containing an esterase gene into which a pelB sequence is introduced. The recombinant microorganism further contains an alcohol dehydrogenase gene and a Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenase gene. 본 발명의 일 측면은 오메가-하이드록시지방산 생산용 재조합 미생물에 관한 것으로, pelB 서열이 도입된 에스터가수분해효소(esterase) 유전자를 포함하는 오메가-하이드록시지방산 생산용 재조합 미생물을 제공한다.
