The present invention relates to an electrode assembly and to an electrode assembly manufacturing method. The electrode assembly according to the present invention comprises: a plurality of unit cells which respectively include one or more positive electrodes, one or more negative electrodes, and one or more separation films; and separation films which are folded so as to be located between the plurality of unit cells, wherein the separation film is provided in the form of being folded two or more times so as to surround a first unit cell which is located in a first fold of the separation film of the unit cells while being in contact with the first unit cell. 본 발명은 전극 조립체 및 전극 조립체 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 전극 조립체는 적어도 하나의 양극, 적어도 하나의 음극, 적어도 하나의 분리막을 각각 포함하는 복수개의 단위셀들 및 복수개의 상기 단위셀들 사이에 위치되로록 폴딩되어 있는 분리필름을 포함하고, 상기 복수개의 단위셀 중에서 상기 분리필름의 초도에 위치되는 제1 단위셀을 접하면서 감싸도록 상기 분리필름이 2회 이상 폴딩된 형태로 구비된다.
