Power supply apparatus for vehicle and driving method thereof

The present invention relates to a power supply apparatus for a vehicle and a driving method thereof, and more specifically, to a power supply apparatus for a vehicle and a driving method thereof, capable of preventing a wire from being damaged due to a short circuit of small power loads by controlling power of the small power loads, when an idle stop and go (ISG) system of the vehicle is operated. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power supply of the vehicle includes: a power supply unit disposed in the vehicle to output a supply voltage; a signal generating unit for generating a dark current blocking signal; a first switch unit for outputting the supply voltage to a first load and a second load upon input of the dark current blocking signal; and a second switch unit for switching the supply voltage output to the first load upon shortage of the first load, based on the comparison result between the supply voltage inputted from the first switch unit and a preset reference voltage. 본 발명은 차량의 전원 공급 장치 및 이의 구동 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 자세하게는 차량의 ISG(Idle Stop & Go) 시스템 동작 시, 소전력 부하의 전력을 제어하여 소전력 부하의 단락의 발생에 의한 와이어의 손상을 방지하는 차량의 전원 공급 장치 및 이의 구동 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 차량의 전원 공급 장치는 차량 내에 배치되어 공급전압을 출력하는 전원 공급 수단과, 암전류 차단 신호를 생성하는 신호 생성부와 암전류 차단 신호의 입력 시, 공급전압을 제1 부하 및 제2 부하로 출력하는 제1 스위치부와, 제1 부하의 단락 시, 제1 스위치부로부터 입력된 공급전압과 기 설정된 기준전압의 비교결과에 기초하여, 공급전압이 제1 부하로 출력되는 것을 스위칭하는 제2 스위치부를 포함한다.
