Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a system for managing a book which obtains identification information and information of a specific page of a book that a user reads, and provides an e-book to a user terminal based on the identification information and the information of the specific page of the book, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for managing a personal online and offline book using character recognition comprises: the user terminal obtaining the identification information of the book that the user reads and the information of the specific page of the book; and a book managing server providing the e-book to the user terminal based on the identification information of the book and the information of the specific page of the book, which are received from the user terminal. 일실시예에 따르면, 개인 온오프라인 도서 관리 시스템은 문자 인식을 이용하여, 사용자가 읽는 도서의 식별 정보 및 상기 도서의 특정 페이지의 정보를 획득하는 사용자 단말; 및 상기 사용자 단말로부터 수신되는 상기 도서의 식별 정보 및 상기 도서의 특정 페이지의 정보에 기초하여 상기 사용자 단말로 e-book을 제공하는 도서 관리 서버를 포함한다.
