VR METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPENSATING DELAY OF VIRTURAL REALITY STREAM

A method for compensating the delay of a virtual reality (VR) stream in a terminal includes the steps of: receiving a plurality of images and a multi-stream including meta data for each image based on a field of view (FOV); storing the plurality of images in respective corresponding buffers; displaying the image stored in a central buffer among the buffers; receiving an FOV moving signal for a first direction; displaying the image stored in a first direction buffer corresponding to the first direction; displaying the image stored in the first direction buffer corresponding to the first direction among the buffers; storing the image in which the FOV is moved for the remaining buffers except the first direction buffer; stopping the display of the image stored in the first direction buffer and displaying the image stored in the central buffer; and storing the image in which the FOV is moved for the first direction buffer. Accordingly, the present invention can solve a reaction speed problem. 단말에서 VR(Virtual Reality) 스트림의 지연을 보상하는 방법은, FOV(Field Of View)에 기초하여 복수의 영상 및 각 영상에 대한 메타 데이터를 포함하는 멀티 스트림을 수신하는 단계, 상기 복수의 영상을 각각의 대응하는 버퍼에 저장하는 단계, 상기 버퍼 중 중앙 버퍼에 저장된 영상을 표시하는 단계, 제1 방향에 대한 FOV 이동 신호를 입력 받는 단계, 상기 버퍼 중 상기 제 1 방향에 대응하는 제 1 방향 버퍼에 저장된 영상을 표시하는 단계, 상기 제 1 방향 버퍼를 제외한 나머지 버퍼에 대하여 FOV가 이동된 영상을 저장하는 단계, 상기 제 1 방향 버퍼에 저장된 영상의 표시를 중단하고 상기 중앙 버퍼에 저장된 영상을 표시하는 단계 및 상기 제 1 방향 버퍼에 대하여 FOV가 이동된 영상을 저장하는 단계를 포함하도록 구성된다.
