Compressor and control method of the same

The present invention relates to a compressor and a control method thereof, more specifically, wherein the compressor comprises: a housing unit having an internal space in which refrigerant and a compression unit compressing the refrigerant are accommodated; an oil foaming sensor unit provided with a pair of electrode units protruding to the inside of the refrigerant accommodated in the housing unit to measure a capacitance value between the electrode units; and a control unit controlling the number of rotations of the compressor in accordance with the capacitance value measured by the oil foaming sensor unit. Therefore, durability of the compressor can be improved by preventing the compressor from being damaged and broken by an oil foaming phenomenon. 본 발명은 압축기 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히, 냉매 및 상기 냉매를 압축시키는 압축부가 수용되는 내부 공간이 형성된 하우징부와, 상기 하우징부에 수용된 상기 냉매 내부로 돌출되는 한 쌍의 전극부가 마련되어 상기 한 쌍의 전극부 사이의 정전용량값을 측정하는 오일 포밍 센서부와, 상기 오일 포밍 센서부에 의하여 측정된 정전용량값에 따라 상기 압축부의 회전수를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하여, 오일 포밍 현상에 따른 압축기의 손상 및 파손을 방지함으로써 압축기의 내구성을 향상시킬 수 있는 이점을 제공한다.
