Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a separator for a rechargeable battery and a rechargeable battery including the same. The separator includes a porous base material, and a heat-resistant porous layer which is disposed on at least one side of the porous base material and includes a fluorine-containing vinyl ether copolymer.
