Head of pattern engraving apparatus

Disclosed is a head of a pattern engraving apparatus which engraves a surface of a mold core to form a pattern. The head of a pattern engraving apparatus comprises: a piezoelectric element to vibrate vertically while repeating extension and contraction by electric energy; a magneto-rheological (MR) fluid box arranged below the piezoelectric element to vibrate with the piezoelectric element when the piezoelectric element vibrates, and filled with an MR fluid; a vite holder whose upper side is arranged in the MR fluid box, and whose lower side protrudes below the MR fluid box; a vite which is mounted on the vite holder, and directly strikes a surface of a mold core; and a coil which is wound on the upper side of the vite holder, and creates a magnetic field by electric energy. Viscosity of the MR fluid is changed in accordance with strength of the magnetic field created by the coil to change a striking pressure and a vertical vibration width of the vite. 금형 코어(mold core)의 표면을 타각하여 패턴(pattern)을 형성하는 패턴 가공기의 헤드(head)가 개시된다. 개시된 패턴 가공기의 헤드는, 전기 에너지에 의해 신장과 수축을 반복하며 상하 방향으로 진동하는 압전 소자, 압전 소자의 아래에 배치되어 압전 소자가 진동함에 따라 함께 진동하는 것으로, 내부에 MR 유체(magneto-rheological fluid)가 채워진 MR 유체 박스(box), 상측부가 MR 유체 박스 내부에 배치되고, 하측부가 MR 유체 박스 아래로 돌출된 바이트 홀더(vite holder), 바이트 홀더에 장착되는 것으로, 금형 코어의 표면을 직접 타격하는 바이트(vite), 및 바이트 홀더의 상측부에 권선된 것으로, 전기 에너지에 의해 자기장을 발생시키는 코일(coil)을 구비한다. 코일에 의해 발생되는 자기장의 세기에 따라 MR 유체의 점성이 변하여, 바이트의 타격 압력과 상하 방향 진동 폭이 변경된다.
